For cycling enthusiasts: Palazzo Firenze sits right alongside the Bike to Coast — a 131-kilometre cycling and walking path running the entire length of the Abruzzo coast from Martinsicuro to the Costa dei Trabocchi, awarded Italy's best cycle-tourism route in 2020. But Pescara is not just about the sea. Less than an hour's drive away, inland Abruzzo opens up: the Gran Sasso — the roof of the Apennines, with Corno Grande rising to 2,912 metres — and the Majella National Park.
